In the week before the "big day" we will be hosting our Pop-up shop where you can come along and buy our merch, ask about festival plans, or just come for a cuppa and a chat. We will also be hosting arts and craft workshops for people to come and make posters for the parade, decorations for the evening parties, or even a nice gift for a loved one. x

The parade is the heart of the Shetland Pride festival. It will start at 11am the market cross and follow the same route as last year, heading along commercial street, up burgh road, and into the Gilbertson Park where we will have our Pride Village event. 

Pride Village is our "family friendly" event, where we try to have as much representation from local business, charities and third sector organisations as possible. We also have a number of entertainment options, from face painting, sports matches, DJ's, and a number of Circus acts this year!! :)  

The evening party is 18+, and is the perfect way to round off the day. This year, we have a range of amazing bands, drag Queens and Kings, and much much more. We will also a seperate, silent, chill out space for folk who need a break from all the fun and noise - hopefully making it as inclusive to as many folk as possible. :) 

We've have had a number of comments over the years that there is nothing for the younger generation to do at night, and so we decided to host our first ever Pride Youth Party!! It is intended to be youth-led, so they can have as much say in what happens at their party as possible.
